Barcelos is a famous restaurant chain which has 150 outlets in 20 countries. It is one of the most popular in Africa and well-known for delicious Afro-Portuguese Cuisines. Barcelos started its journey with a single operation in 1993 from South Africa and since beginning it has expanded wings continuously. They have three outlets in Delhi NCR, the oldest one is in Khan Market.
Here I am going to share my experience of the same one.
The interior was very catchy and impressed me at a glance. The entire floor was well decorated and nice color combination was adding value to it. The restaurant is spacious and you won’t find it congested when it’s fully loaded.
Comfortable couches have a rich look and give a good feel. They also have outdoor seating arrangement for those who like sitting in the fresh air or need privacy and a separate smoking zone to avoid passive smoking by non-smokers.
Perfect place for foodies specially if you are a non-vegetarian. They have a variety of soft and juicy chicken items. If you want to try something different than order black burger and their famous peri peri chicken and I am sure that you will find both awesome. They have the option of family platter as well. Dessert is an essential part of dine and by understanding the value of it, they have introduced a totally new menu for Dessert.
I like having ice-cream and Gulab Jamun together, but if you also add cheese into it, then it becomes an greatest combination of three.
They also have an creative combination of Red Velvet lava and Green Tea lava which will be served with ice cream. You can also add Gold chocolate cake in the list, which will be served with meringue and ice cream.
Barcelos’s is already well-known for the exotic range of liquor. First time visitors must try their molecular drinks and boozy shakes. Those who like having red will love this place as they have a variety of Sangria.
Now it has introduced a new exclusive Portuguese Cocktail bar which has upgraded the level. The new bar has a range of Portuguese cocktails such as Ola (flavors of rose and betel leaves in a rum based drink ), Poncha Jura (combination of coke or sprite in vodka along with cinnamon, ginger and pomegranate flavor), Bermuda (orange juice mingled with gin, brandy, grenadine ), Potuguese in Love (a twist in brandy and pomegranate) and many more.
To keep all kinds of customers satisfied It also offers classic Indian cocktails such as Theeki-Mirchi (Vodka, guava juice, Intoxicated Jaljeera(Vodka, fresh mint leaves, ginger, tamarind, fresh coriander leaves and lime juice), fresh green chilies and lime juice), Paan-Tini (Vodka, beetel leaves, areca nut, mukhwas, gulkand and vanilla ice cream)
All these items are available In the range of Rs. 300 (Indian) to Rs. 325 (Portuguese) which is very economical.
The whole staff is very courteous and try their best to satisfy all customers. Especially on weekends they manage everything easily, I hope most of you would like their hospitality as I did.
Overall, it was a good experience. If you get nice food and cocktails at a very affordable price in Delhi then it seems like a dream come true. Nice sitting arrangement and excellent service convince you to come again. Perfect place to hang out with family.
