Remember the childhood days, when we used to draw a cottage or hut with mountains behind and river in the front, a small bridge and one little world of imagination? If yes, Offbeat Footprints is the place that you are sure to love as it will make you live those moments
You all know that we are more of an adventurous couple that believes in making memories rather than buying expensive gifts. One may ask, how do we celebrate our special days? Well, we ride! Yes, hitting the roads is what we love doing on our special days to make them all
Why I call our recent trip the laid-back one? Guys, we were literally laid-back and did nothing during the entire trip. Trust us, all we were doing was; getting up in the morning, peeping outside our dorm, enjoying the weather, having our meals, had chit-chat sessions with travellers and local people.
There are times in life when you know there are important tasks to be done and fast approaching deadlines hover on your mind. You genuinely want to work and give your best shot but you are unable to concentrate. Happens with everybody, right? What do you do then? For us the
Ride for passion, profession or for a cause. The motto is to ride! We ride because we love it and if we get to ride for a cause, we just can’t say no. Recently, we were on a bike ride to Dalhousie and when we were heading back to our hometown,
Do we go to a restaurant to have food only? I don’t think so. When we get bored from our monotonous routine life and need entertainment, then we hang out with family and friends. Places like cinema hall, amusement parks and restaurant help us to release our stress and get recharged. Keeping this thing in mind, I always seek restaurants that offer more than a dine.
What a Comic Show, a restaurant on the 2nd floor of S.D.A (Safdarjung Development Area Market) Community Centre at Hauz Khas, Delhi has a unique concept of ‘Comic Theme’ which makes it stand apart from any common bar and restaurant.
Live performance of a musical band on Saturday and movies about superheroes on Friday contribute assertive and make the special ambience. Apart from these they also organize Halloween and Super Hero Costume parties.
The interior of the restaurant has an appealing effect for comic lovers. The entire space is properly used. It has a good comfortable sitting arrangement in the balcony as well, so that the customers can dine outside. They also have their own website where you can get ample information about the restaurant.
You can also order food online from WhatAComicShow through Zomato or Swiggy website. It is advisable to reserve the seats in advance if you are planning to go on weekends because the capacity of the restaurant is somewhere around 50-60 people at a time and it is becoming a hub for comic lovers. The opening hours for the restaurant are between morning 11.00 till midnight 12.00.
Food quality is also excellent. They serve Chinese, Continental, Thai, and Italian cuisine. We would suggest first time visitors to try delicious grilled sandwich, spring rolls, burgers, pasta or noodles.
They also have a small bar where variety of beer and wine are available at a very affordable price. Most of the people will be delighted by the hospitality and behavior of the restaurant staff. Although they are limited in number which causes a bit delay in order processing specially on weekends when the place is overcrowded.
There is a mini library for the comic lovers to read comic books of their favorite characters without paying any extra charge while having a beer or waiting for the food though. The restaurant is fully air conditioned so you can chill out inside and enjoy a beer at a cheaper price in extremely hot days of summer.
If I talk about myself, I was very partial to comic books and cartoon films in my childhood; batman, superman phantom were my superheroes but like most of us. I also got distracted from those things when I grew up. If I find a place where my old memories reappear, then I would love to be there! This was the reason that I took out time to be there, despite my hectic time schedule.
If you have a budget of Rs 1200-Rs 1500 for two people in which you can enjoy quality food, drink beer, listen to live music and read comics for your favorite characters then this is the best option for you.
On a personal note, I would say that What a Comic Show is the one ultimate place to dine out with family and friends, which indeed would be a nice and refreshing experience for everyone.
